Facebook sued Startup Power.com

Startup Power.com a service that lets users aggregate their social networking experience across multiple sites such as MySpace, Bebo, Facebook, etc. was sued by Facebook last Dec. 30. Facebook sued Power.com for trademark infringement, copyright infringement, violation of Facebook terms and other charges. What Power.com doing here is it solicits and uses Facebook login information to access information stored at Facebook without authorization InsideFacebook report. The Company (Power.com) used the name “the Facebook team” on its emails it sent. Power.com has also created falsely email address such as Facebookmail.com during its site promotion. It’s a clear violation of Facebook’s trademarks and terms. According to a good friend of mine, Power.com is also offering $100 to the person that invited the most new users to Power.com. Facebook got no choice but to defend its turf and sued Power.com.
